Maple Glazed Parsnips & Carrots

4 parsnips

10 carrots

4 bacon slices

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tsp. dried thyme

salt & pepper to taste

Quarter the parsnips, carrots, and uncooked bacon slices, then spread evenly on a cooking sheet.  Drizzle with syrup and sprinkle with seasonings.  Roast in the oven at 450F for 40 minutes (cook 20 minutes, then flip veggies, cook for another 20).
