Celebrate the Harvest
This Thanksgiving season, even in the midst of our current hardships, 5LF is thankful for and wants to celebrate the bounty of our harvest this year and the amazing support of our community. These two things go hand in hand; it is only because of the support of our neighbors that we are able to produce and share this bountiful harvest. This year, for our 9th annual Celebrate the Harvest fall fundraiser, we are featuring hot foods made by neighbors of the farm, farm fresh produce, and great gift ideas for you to share as you celebrate the holiday season. These can all be ordered through our online market until 12 pm, Thursday 11/19, & picked up at the 5 Loaves Farmhouse (70 W. Delavan) Saturday 11/21 from 9 am - 1 pm.

Israel Rivera
Israel provides water for our farm lots, offers a helping hand planting and harvesting, and is always cooking up rice & beans, pastelitos, and flan that keep our team fed and engergized!

Ah Wei
Ah Wei worked at 5LF as a youth employee for over two years. During her time here we learned at least as much from her as she did from us. She was very helpful in helping us expand the number of culturally significant crops we offer to our neighbors.

Former employee & residents of the farm, & now, as close neighbors, they’ve been harvesting extra produce from the farm that Liane has turned into teas, syrups, & flavored sugars & salts that allow you to bring local flavors of the farm into your home all year long!

Joelle & Mark Herskind
The 5 Loaves Farmhouse exists because of the generosity and hard work of the Herskinds. This building has been a tremendous resource for the farm & community It is also where you can pick-up your online orders, Sat. 11/21 from 9am-1pm. Joelle has also turned produce from the farm into delicious hand pies.
