General Information

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) helps connect people directly to the farmers growing their food. Members purchase a CSA membership at the start of the year and pick-up seasonal produce and market items at our 5 Loaves Farm stand throughout the growing season.

Members choose from a variety of seasonal farm fresh produce, as well as a selection of market items like flowers, coffee, meat, and bread, averaging about $27 of value each week.

Our CSA season includes 15 weeks of farm stand shopping, from late June through early October.

Onsite farm stand is Thursdays from 4-7 pm @ 70 W. Delavan Ave.

What is it like to shop at the 5 Loaves Farm stand?
Our farmers’ market-style CSA, making it an enjoyable and interactive experience! Bring your own bag and stop by every Thursday to collect your share. You'll fill your bag by selecting items from different categories of produce we have available that week.

During peak harvest months, you’ll enjoy more variety and choice. For example, you might get to choose between two fruit options or two types of onions.

Is your produce organic?
We are a no-spray farm (no pesticides, no insecticides). We follow sustainable and organic farming practices, but we are not certified organic.

Do you use pesticides or synthetic fertilizers?
No, we focus on natural pest management and soil health to grow our crops.

Can I split a share with someone?
Yes, you can split a share with a friend or family member. Just coordinate pick-up and payment with your partner.

What happens if I miss a pick-up?
If you know you'll miss a pick-up, please let us know ahead of time. We can hold your share until Saturday of that week or your share can be donated to a neighbor of the farm.

Can someone else pick up my share?
Yes, you can arrange for a friend or family member to pick up your share if you're unavailable.

How does my membership support the community?
By joining our CSA, you’re supporting local agriculture, helping us provide employment opportunities for neighborhood youth, and bringing spiritual support to the community.
