After 2 years away we are excited to announce the return of our annual Pancake Breakfast & Urban Maple Syrup Demo. Come and meet new staff and check out the work that has been ongoing on the farm. We hope you can join us for the first pancake breakfast since 2019!

This season is all about seeding, growth and gathering. With the first week of the month passed, hoop house bed preparation has already begun here on the farm. Seedlings have been sprouting, patiently waiting for their transplant into the hoop houses. The first of mesclun has been directly sown and the fruit trees pruned. We are ready for the warm weather!

Our Winter Youth Internship has been hard at work wrapping up their time with us here. Last week they began testing their recipes for a final celebration with friends and family. They cooked up a Tea Leaf Salad and Shrimp Pad Thai, both were a huge hit! Friday night, they hosted the Farmhouse Friday pizza night with great success. 

Having been such a cold windy winter this past weekend’s thaw was the perfect time to get the maple taps into the trees, on Saturday Matt and his son Justice identified and tapped the maple trees over at Delaware Park. A perfectly warm weekend led to all of the buckets overflowing within a day!
